We start our sessions with a story that is accompanied by LEGO® images on our big screen. The children are set 2-3 build challenges linked to the workshop theme. Our Master Builders have access to 1000’s of LEGO® bricks which have been sorted into colour, size and type.
We aim to inspire children to be creative and so we don't follow any instructions when building with the LEGO®. We provide plenty of support and positive reinforcement to ensure that all the children are continually engaged. We encourage problem solving and teamwork and for our Master Builders to share their ideas.
At the end of the workshop we present the children with a themed badge. All of the LEGO® stays at Master Builders Club but we do encourage teaching staff to take photographs of the children's achievement's for their learning records.
Our LEGO® building workshops provide children with a creative stimulus that can be transferred to other areas of learning. We have recently brought the following subjects to life: Space, Under the Sea, Prehistoric World, Tudors, Volcanoes, Transport, Ancient Egyptians, London and Super Structures.
Workshops usually last 90 minutes and can accommodate up to 30 children but we are able to adjust this according to the needs of the class and the school timetable. The wellbeing of children is paramount to us. Our LEGO® is regularly sterilised and we both hold: Enhanced DBS Certificates, Level 3 Awards in Emergency Paediatric First Aid and Universal Safeguarding Children Certificates.
Our educational workshops can be delivered during the school day or as an after school event.

The children thoroughly enjoyed working individually and in teams and being allowed to really stretch their creative skills. The workshop was a perfect opportunity for teachers to observe their children working in a different context, and applying their learning about the topic in a totally new way.Mrs Hull - Kidmore End CE Primary School
